"Since childhood my husband David, has had severe hearing loss. As a young boy, he wore hearing aids with a battery that fit into his pocket. In the late 1940’s he had surgery at the Mayo Clinic to rebuild his right eardrum. With this successful surgery, David was able to hear without the help of hearing aids.

At the age of forty, it became necessary for David to wear hearing aids again. Since that time, he has had four or five different sets of aids. As his hearing loss advanced, stronger aids were required.

Without the help of hearing aids, David (Age 71) is completely deaf. The hearing loss and feedback noise from his hearing aids had gotten so bad that we thought the next step would have to be implants.

However, after a visit to Carla Hoffman at the Hearing Aid Company of Texas, she came up with a pair of hearing instruments called Naida V SP's that she had David try out. They were AMAZING! No feedback! He could hear Carla speaking to him across the hall in another room. Tears of joy filled the eyes of each one of us in that room, witnessing this MIRACLE.

The tears of joy flowed again the following Sunday as we sat on the very back row in church and David could hear the sermon for the first time since he could remember.

We had avoided noise restaurants because it was hard on David's hearing but several weeks ago, we decided we would try out the Cracker Barrel to see how he would do with the new hearing aids. It was awesome; we could actually carry on a conversation.
